VIDEO: Tornado Warning Issued as Funnel Cloud was Spotte

Area resident Trent Alan shot video of the funnel cloud as it began to come down near the rest area on Interstate 57 north of Effingham.

Tornado sirens have sounded in the city of Effingham after a funnel cloud was spotted about three miles north of the city. A small thunderstorm is moving east just north of Effingham.
The tornado did touch down, confirmed by trained weather spotters with the National Weather Service, prompting a Tornado Warning for much of Cumberland County. The tornado was classified by the
